I just read one of your interviews in which you referenced Echo and the Bunnymen as well as a "cosmic turtle." Should I doubt your commitment to Sparkle Motion? And is the Moroboshi household at the center of the island?

i was actually quoting stephen hawking (i think a lot of people thought it was terry pratchett, whom i MUST start reading soon!). regarding sparkle motion - i respect the hell out of the donnie darko, but if you want the true undiluted stuff, go read philip k. dick's "now wait for last year" - and then you might truly question your commitment to sparkle motion.

Ahhh.... then perhaps if you can stand early-80's anime, you should check out Urusei Yatsura movie 2: Beautiful Dreamer. It's somewhat Lost-like in a way, and you'll see why I connected it to your interview.
