The island night scenes were lame, tho. Couldn't really tell what was going on. And Juliet just isn't doing it for me, sorry. She keeps playing the same note over and over, that sorta wrinkled brow, pooched out lip thing.

the whole episode was great. very believable. i felt so sorry for the losties on the island. the flaming darts....who the heck is that. they are on the island when des is in the hatch and after the nigerian plane has crashed but before 815 crashed. who he heck would be on the island?

miles, daniel and poor bernard were awesome. if i was bernard, i'd put rose right in her place. it's not pleasant couple bantering. she's rude to him!

Lost is great! It answered enough questions to keep us happy, but raised a heck of a lot more! Hurley was great - his mom was great - loved all of it!

It was excellent! Just more and more thrown at us from all sides!! It was so wonderful to just sit and absorb all things LOST! I felt like I was a kid in a candy store!!

Absolutely wonderful and so worth the wait.

Jack getting cleaned up and looking for the 06 and realizing he made a mistake was great. I love seeing his character growth this season and I hope we continue to see more. As always Matthew Fox rocks all his scenes no matter if his character is with Ben, Sayid, Kate or even Hurley he always brings his A game.


Other then that Hurley (Jorge Garcia) was amazing too. He can be hilarious and then two minutes later sell me on being dramatic. I loved how his mother finally believed him.

I loved the pace of the story and the fact that we are finally getting more answers.

Oh and Juliet and Sawyer were great tonight. Not only as leaders but you could see the sizzling hot chemistry between them and their scenes didn't even call for it. If it really has been 3 years since the island moved I hope Sawyer and Juliet hooked up. EM and JH would sell that romance better then their characters other failed romances.

Felt like reading the "Answers To The Universe".

In other words, it was amazing.

Seeing Kate with Aaron was beautiful.

I was definitely not disappointed with this second episode. So much stuff downloaded to us. So many mysteries left. As always, Jorge knocked it out of the park. He's so funny and then can turn it on a dime and be so poignant. I loved Sun and Kate talking. I think this is going to set some interesting things up in the future for these two friends.
I loved Sawyer trying to keep it together not only for himself but also for the remaining LeftBehinds. I think he's also inadvertently shown just how intelligent he is because he processed what Daniel told him about the time jumping and went right on to try to do that best he could.
I'm on pins and needles waiting for next week to how where they jump next!! :Jumpy:

This was a great episode. Here's why:


There was a moral to the story - that lying is the wrong thing to do.
Seeing how the Reyes family worked together - and the unlikely thing for his mother to believe Hurley.
A shout-out to fans how hard to explain why the show is great when it sounds unrealistic - this happened when Hurley explained many things that happened on the Island.
I loved it how Hurley did what Sayid told him to do - the exact opposite thing Ben wanted him to do; by doing so, he surrendered himself to the police.

Loved it? I want to marry it and father it's children!

All the best partymans have daddy issues.... ;)


I loved this episode.. It was a trippy, mind-bendy rollercoaster filled with moments where I literally found myself having jaw-drop moments..

What a way to kick off the new season. Touchdown.

Super way to start the S5! Loved it. Thought both episodes were well worth the 8 month wait. TPTB said they were going to ratch up the way in which the episodes are presented & they didn't fail on their promise. Loved the island's aftershocks & the chaotic time switching because of them. cool. Fabulous intrigue... which time frame will be presented next? Loved how Hurley put the screws to Ben and the look on Ben's face. I thought I glimpsed an expression of subtle perplexity? Or was it just pissed-offness...Does he have a Plan B for Hurley?

Can I make it through o.k. until next week? :biggrin:

i also have to add that this was definitely jorge's best performance. he was so adamant about not wanting to lie which is what we fans have been questioning for the whole hiatus. i mean, we know why they lied, but the morality of it was eating at hurley.

his conversation with his mama was so sweet and ridiculous at the same time. i wanted to say, hugo, do you know how you sound? but he knew it. what was awesome was that his mom said she believed him because she knows what kind of guy he is and that he's finished lying. so great. and last, but not least, the evilish, impish grin he had for ben while being arrested. someone finally got something over on benjamin linus!;)

here's to hoping the rest of the season is just as good!:cheers:

I especially loved the scene where Hurley broke down and told his mother the truth, and the scene where Ben tries to convince Hurley to come with him. Jorge Garcia and Michael Emerson were amazing in that scene -- I loved the chemistry between the characters, the way that Ben's icy calculations played off against Hurley's decency and warmth. That's the first extended scene, that I can remember, for those two characters together. They should do a lot more!

I loved the episode. I'd like to watch it again.

AWESOME. Hugo-centric epis rock... also, lots of GREAT action. Sayid, you rock.

Great episode! It was more character-centric than Because You Left but that in no way is a bad thing. I loved Hurley confessing to his Mom and that she believes him.

A couple of really interesting things that I noticed. Ben was surprised Sayid was helping Hurley, and Sayid doesn't seem to be working for Ben anymore. I wonder what happened between those two. I'm sure we will see at some point.

The scene between Sun and Kate was so emotional, but in an unusual way. Sun seemed distant with Kate at first and then as they are talking she seems more sympathetic with Kate. By the end of the scene you can tell she is actually angry with Jack. It was a great scene but has me questioning Sun, which I'm sure is the point. It's great getting to see her have a more active role this season!

LoST is back! Return of Ana Lucia, Mother time, ETHAN ROM! AWESOME!

I liked this episode. This season looks better than last years, and last year was awesome-super season.

Overall, this episode makes it very clear that the new format will work just fine, and that the writers know what they're doing. They managed to incorporate some character exploration into this episode, despite the many twists and turns, and that helps to calm any fears presented by the premiere.

Absolutely loved it, I am SO glad that Lost is FINALLY back.
These two episodes really brought us through the looking glass, we now know one of the definitive big secrets of this Island, its about Time travel. That alone starts to connect the dots on so many things.

I loved this episode in particular, Im a big Hurley fan (not the only one im sure) and ive always beena big Cheech marin fan. So getting to see him this much in an episode was awesome.

This episode was just about as good as the first to me, but I love Hurley episodes. Hot pocket = priceless.
