I think this sexy duo has TONS of potential and I would love to see Sawyer and Juliet fall in love or atleast hook up a few times.

Much as it pains me to say it (I used to be a Skater), both Jack and Kate are really annoying me lately. Sawyer deserves better.. and yes, I'm fairly sure that's the direction they're going with this. Did all of you see the overview with the producers before the show? Where they said that Jack is the one that Kate "should be with," even though she lusts after Sawyer occasionally? I laughed when they said that Jack was the one who could take care of her - great job he's been doing with that lately! .__.

Juliet is being the quiet first lieutenant to Sawyer's rather more boisterous taking-the-lead role among the survivors. She reached out to calm him down and reason with him a couple times when he was getting out of hand - when he was about to attack Frogurt, for example. And he's looking out for her as someone mentioned, grabbing her during the flaming arrow attack.
They paired them up for most of the action and moving-around sequences, like they paired up Daniel and Charlotte frequently. I think both these pairings will develop into couples of one sort or another.

also look at Sawyers on island track record. He hooked up with Ana lucia, and kate, which are 2 out of the 3 women on the island that jacks been at all flirtatious with.

that just leaves Juliet to complete the trinity.

:biggrin: Too true, while Jack yells, sweats or drinks Sawyer ends up with the ladies. IF he ends up hooking up with Juliet it will be three for three.

That's what happens when you are such a tool you deny the possibility you could be checking someone out.

On the serious side, Juliet knows what Sawyer just lost. His girl (Damon and Carlton's words, not mine) and his friends. I loved the way she understood and tried to calm him much like a sister, mother or friend would. Some sexual chemistry may develop but I didn't see any last night.

I see these two more as "friends with benefits." I don't think either one of them (eventually) would have any conflicts about the "benefits" part. Juliet is an adulterer and Sawyer was a professional womanizer--neither one has any reason to be the chaste type, whatever their emotional conflicts.

I think it's obvious that TPTB could go down the Suliet road if they chose to - their shared grief over their lost friends could bond them quite closely - but whether or not they will remains to be seen.

My only hope, as more of a Juliet fan than a Sawyer fan, is that if they do go down the Suliet road, it doesn't end in Juliet being rejected for Kate again. She already was the other woman in Jack and Kate's relationship, a fact she herself acknowledged in SNBH, and I just hope she doesn't have to play second fiddle to Kate again. Juliet deserves to be first for someone!

I think this is true because Juliet just lost Jack (whom she was starting to have pretty significant feelings for), and Sawyer just lost Kate.
It's a rebound type of thing right now.. but I think as the weeks unfold, a new romance is going to bloom and cause quite the controversy when Jack and Kate return.

I loved the overview and agreed with Damon and Carlton. I just hope they have Juliet and Sawyer move on instead of pining away for Jack and Kate who obviously have moved on and love each other. I agree that Sawyer and Juliet deserve better then to be 2nd best to anyone else.

On topic again, I really want Sawyer and Juliet to get together and stay together. I don't think Jack or Kate are desirable as lifetime mates (a romp in the sack is one thing, but they are both too much of a mess for anything else-- a truism that came to a crescendo in SNBH). Sawyer and Juliet both deserve better than their respective objects-of-desire, and hopefully they'll see that. It may actually give Sawyer a reason to want to leave the Island; Juliet wants to go home to her family and I could see Sawyer wanting to go with her if they get serious.

Yeah, that was my impression that Ana Lucia was supposed to be the four part of the love quadrangle but Michelle Rodriguez had no chemistry with Matthew Fox or anyone else for that matter and thus Juliet was created.

Writers, please pay attention. Stop messing with Sawyer and Juliet. So only put them together if this is going to be a real, emotional and lasting relationship. To have Sawyer drop Juliet as soon as Kate comes back and have her be "The other woman" YET AGAIN is an insult to the character.

And to have Sawyer take Kate back after the way she has treated him and even after shacking up with the Doc...please don't.

Or better yet, end this horrible triangle everyone and their mothers hate. But then we all know you dont have the guts to do that.

I don't want Juliet to become the Other Woman either, and I don't think she will. I did really like their interaction together, and whether that turns into a romance, who knows? It might, it might not!! But as far as "the way Kate treated Sawyer"....umm, that definitely goes both ways. Sawyer did, and said some very questionable things to and about Kate, so let's not just put it all on Kate/ I agree that Kate should have been way more open with both of them, but she didn't treat Sawyer to anything he didn't already know about. Also, Kate is/was moving on with her life and building a life with Jack. They were not just "shacking up." As hard as that is to believe.:rolleyes:

And why is it so hard for anyone to believe that Sawyer absolutely can't be happy with anyone else - ever? If he has changed as much as they would have us believe then maybe he's grown up a little too and will accept whatever happens, and be okay with it. And he could do way worse than Juliet for that matter.

It will all get resolved soon enough whether that's Jack/Kate and Sawyer/Juliet.

As far as Damon and Carlton, I'd say they have more than enough guts to do whatever they feel is right for the story they are telling!
