I was wondering amd would like others thoughts. The O6 have been gone for 3 years, the flashes back on the Island seem to be happening every few hours. So does that mean the losties back on the island have jumped through time hundreds or thousands of times so far?? And depending if the O6 make it back which im assuming they will. Will it seem like 3 years to them since the O6 left or will it seem like yesterday?

u answered your own question practically, theres Island Time and Normal Time, Normal time goes way faster than Island time. So although the O6 were off for 3 years the Movement of the island could have just happned like you said a few hours ago. And im Assuming when they get back to the island they will get there as they are in the present. this is prolly a little inconsitent but i tried lol
It's just a jump to the left....
It's astounding, time is fleeting - Madness takes its toll
With a bit of a mind flip - You're there in the time slip

TPTB have said that the Island is like Narnia in that the the rest of the world doesn't always move at the same speed. So, I don't think it will seem like the O6 have been gone three years. It may be weird for Claire to see her son 3 years older in a matter of no time.
NO TIME?
KNOW TIME!!!
Mind hurting
The really weird part is and hesitate to say even with spolier tags cause it's crazy-
The O6 end up in the past working (undercover?) for Dharma.
So we're in for a mind-blower of a season I'm thinking,
Darlton quote-"We're getting to a place where we're going to be answering more questons than we're asking." Woo Hoo

I forgot about that bit of info. This makes sense. I am sure there'll be some confusion among the Losties about how long they have been apart, and Aaron will be proof of the O6's time lapse.

My opinion:

I think that those time jumps eventually either slow way down (to a point where there's days, weeks or maybe even months between jumps) or stops. That's the only way I can see Faraday having the time to pose as a DHARMA member the way that we saw at the beginning of the premiere.
And depending if the O6 make it back which im assuming they will. Will it seem like 3 years to them since the O6 left or will it seem like yesterday?
The Losties seem to remember everything they experience. Locke saw the drug plane crash, then remembered that when he time-jumped again. So, in their mind "time" still passes as normal even though they are jumping around in it. So, I think that it will seem like 3 years to them.

Doesn't the amount of time which will have past whenever the O6 return depend on whether or not the left behinders can stabilize the island, get it to stay in one time period. Because I got the impression from the Desmond-Daniel scene that Daniel wanted Desmond's help with(go to Oxford and find my mother). So depending on if the left behinders can find a way to stabilize the time shifts, when they stop the time jumps wouldn't that affect how much time has passed?

For the island? Yes.
For the Losties? I don't think so.
I think it's like Locke's leg... Alpert told him to change the bandages every couple of days. But, he also knew that Locke was going to keep jumping through time. So, why tell him to change the bandage? I think that Alpert understands that if Locke had a watch on and it says it's 3pm then an hour later if Locke jumps backwards 10 years, it's still just an hour to Locke and the watch will read 4pm. His leg would have healed an hour's worth, his hair would have grown an hour's worth, even though it Seems like Locke should have actually gotten 10 years Younger.
Cheese and rice this is a confusing conversation. :)
