so would "the incident" be that someone drilled too close to the FDW? and pushing the button kept the energy contained until the hatch explosion?

If that is the case, did turning the failsafe key accomplish anything? And is Mrs. Hawking angry at Ben for turning the wheel and starting the movement of the island through time? Is that why he has to stop it?

Sooo many questions. I think that they all have to get back to the island in 70 hours because Mrs. Hawking has figured out that this is when the island will be back to normal time and there would be a paradox if that were to happen because Locke would be in two places at the same time. But that is for another thread.

I think The Incident may end up being some interaction that occurs between those still on the island who are time traveling (Sawyer, et al) and the Dharma Initiative or whomever, once they find themselves in that time.

My question is, if the happenings concerning the islands mysterious physical properties at the Orchid and The Swan are interrelated, and that excavation was occurring where the Orchid is located, why are the Orchid and the Swan so far away from eachother on the island? If they are attempting to control/regulate the same power source, wouldn't they be in the same location, or at least close?

I'm so confused
