ok. now I need to figure something out. sorry if I sound a bit messy. but this is LOST. so....

***

If the losties are going back and forth in time, people who are now dead on the island could resurface. which leads me to consider a few issues based on this : if your body is still on the island, are you then alive when the losties travel to a specific time where you were alive ?

it seems to me like the body's location is an issue too : when the losties travel in time, they stay at the same place and everything else around them changes. which leads to very interesting stuff that could explain a lot of things ... I'll procede by examples

-Jack's dad : his body is on the island, not buried (that we know of). so when the losties travel to pre-2004, he is not dead yet. does he become alive ? could this explain his appearances ?

-Claire : same issue. we don't know where her body is. I think she died in the explosion and that's where her body is. NOT BURIED.

- ethan : left for dead in the woods ? did they give him a proper burial? Which explains why he can come back.

-any person who is dead and buried : do they basically wake up underground and die of intoxication ? ex: anna lucia etc...

- the dharma bodies : do they come alive if you travel to pre-80s. Is that who attacked the losties in the end of the episode ?

- Jacob : could he just be the extreme example of what is happening to the losties ? he is rapidly and constantly travelling through time and trying to escape from that ("help me").

which leads us to desmond being special. According to my theory, that fits. he is special because, despite the fact that he isn't on the island, his body is still here when we travel to the past. Why ?? I have no idea.

Interesting thoughts but Ethan was definitely buried. If I recall correctly, Charlie and someone else (possibly Hurley) did it in the episode after they killed him.

damn !
but could be a plothole too.

also : locke's body --> if they fix the problem and return to normal time, maybe he'll be alive again since he wasn't dead at that moment. but eventually, he would have to die at the same moment, because you can't change the past.

But Christian is seemingly reincarnated or reanimated, past the time of his death (unless it was the old medusa spider venom gag) he can carry Aaron, as did Claire, and we know Aaaron's not dead. Christian can also appear on the freighter to Michael (even though Michael had no idea who he was)
I think this is the Kind of thing that will happen with Locke.
Thus becoming the Voice of Jacob, perhaps one who has a broader level of comunication than those who preceeded him.

Eh, could be?

He does Jacobs Leg work. It's obvious imo that Jacob cannot leave thew cabin, it's the one place he can hide from his destined death, or something like that.
