I just noticed something. If you connect the centres of all the star-like formations on Ms. Hawking's map, you get this three-dimensional image:

What is it? A building/temple? Ms. Hawking's pendulum? A coincidence (more than likely?)

Perhaps the island can only move between these lines, so they at elast have some indication of where the island could be.
