Something I just thought of. So the losties (everyone from the plane, freighter, and even Julliette) are time jumping. The Others seem to be OK.

But what about the plane survivors who integrated with the Others (on the "Good" list - the kids Zack and Emma, stewardess Cindy, etc). Wouldn't they be time jumping along with the rest of the Oceanic passengers?

Maybe they are. For all we know they are still at the Temple.

If they're not time jumping, wouldn't they still be where the island was and the end of the flash? My guess is they losties are moving around in time on the island, while the island itself went somewhere else in the "present" (or 3 years ago).

Either way, Cindy and the kids should be "traveling" with the other Losties.

I would guess the people themselves are jumping since the island setting changes depending on where or when they land. If the whole island itself was jumping, I would think the campsite would still be there. (why the boat was still there I don't know but that's a whole 'nother thing).
I would think the folks at the temple should be jumping too but they're still safe in the temple while they do it.

One more integrated person to add. Claire. Shouldn't she be time-skipping too?

Here's a thought, Ben sent the Others to the Temple, and sent Danielle and Alex there too. Perhaps the Temple is very very old and has not changed any in all its existance. This means if you are hanging out at the Temple, then you are safe from time jumps because nothing ever changes there.

None of this will be clear until we find out either the parameters of the time jumping, or we find out what happened to the group of others (along with Cindy, Zach and Emma) that Richard led to the temple. I really hope they get to that part of the story.

Like one of the recappers said, this time jumping thing gives the writers the ability to go back to any point in time to explain any mystery they want.

Also makes you wonder why Juliet is jumping.

and i assumed the others left the temple with richard and went to meet locke after ben passed the torch to him... is this the first fan found plot hole that Darlton will need to start making rewrites for?

I brought this topic up on the linear board the other day and got no response. The funny thing though I worked out this same theory, that the easiest place to deal with time jumping would be the most ancient structure of the island. Though I do remember being surprised that the Temple was noted by a Dharma symbol on the map Ben gave to Alex.
Maybe they took it over while they were there and it was just a convenient map. I'd like to believe the Temple is part of the Island's original history not a Dharma station.-

My thoughts are that only the Islands Original occupants aren't jumping, or maybe those who have been there at the time of another "incident", and that the rest of the recruited Others are riding it out at the Temple. I'm thinking maybe that Charlotte being a baby during some of time periods jumped to is the cause of her own special variety of Minkowski Syndrome:eek2:

Yeah I guess Cindy, the kids and probaly others like Harper are at the temple. I do hope we get to see it eventually.

This whole time jumping business just keeps getting more and more complicated...

Okay, here's my take on this:

Instead of focusing on who IS time jumping...

...maybe it might be good to also focus on who is NOT time jumping - and why...

So, why are the Others NOT time jumping (or, rather, the Others that aren't with the Oceanic folks)?
