Darlene (http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Darlene) is the woman who is working in the gas station where Hurley buys his stylishly trashy "I Heart Shih-Tzus" tee-shirt. Apparently, she is wearing quite a lot of jewelry (http://getlostpodcast.iimmgg.com/image/a7d853b649cef8d8e4d20336435cce1f). Hmmm. What to make of this?

Here's what I think I see:

A necklace that has a pair of wings - angel wings, perhaps? I'm nut sure...

A necklace with a pirate skull and crossbones.

An earring that is either a hand grenade or a pineapple.

Some other stuff I can't make out.

In the past I've seen quite a lot of Easter eggs in scenes that are shot in a business like this. Here's a screencap (http://gallery.lost-media.com/displayimage.php?pid=120833&fullsize=1) of a wider angle shot of Darlene's counter, but I can't see anything too unordinary in it.

Any theories about the possibility that any of this stuff could be Easter eggs?

It may not be earth-shattering, but I've found that often it's in these little details that we get little clues now and then. I think it is worth noting about the themes in the jewelry. Who knows? Maybe in a couple of episodes we'll see a connection... :undecide:

At any rate, I think it's slightly interesting about the skull and crossbones necklace. Pirates seem to be a theme in Lost, but I'm not sure completely. There's the Black Rock ship, and some other things like that. I have a pet theory that Richard and some of his crew actually were real 19th Century pirates. Perhaps there's even a pirate connection to Charles Widmore. But who knows at this point?

Not about Darlene, but definitely part of the scene, Hurley walks into the mini mart after seeing Ana Lucia... the music playing inside was "Dream Police" by Cheap Trick.
