I don't Remember his origins, but i remember them having history together,, or so it seemed. That one guy looked a lot like a young Mikhail. I will look for a screen shot.

No, as far as we know they didn't have a history together. Mikhail said that he came to the island 11 years prior when the losties first encountered him in 2004, Danielle came to the island in 1988.

I don't think so, but just the mention of his name has given me hope that with the time travelling, we'll see just one more resurrection of Patchy :D

Can anyone think of any weird encounters between Jin and Mikhail?

Besides Jin running through the jungle and beating Mikhail senseless?

That's not too crazy of a theory at all, least not compared to what I saw. 'Cause at least two of those guys looked like Charlie's brother Liam to me, I think there was even a guitar.

That was a violin case the guy was holding.

I thought Patchy came to the island because he responded to a Russian newpaper ad that talked about "Saving the World".

Ahhhh. He did say that.
But he also said that he was the last remaining member of the DI.. He was never part of the DI tho,,, or was he?

I don't think he was part of Rousseau's team. She mentioned Montand, but I didn't hear Mikhail. This may be unrelated to the topic, but I do think Mikhail was part of Dharma and that he worked in the Arrow Station. He was very good at Special Forces from his days in Russia, the Arrow Station was designed for protecting Dharma from natives, and the glass eye found there was a reference to him.

Any thoughts?

Yea its his eye for sure. One more thing,,, what language were Mikhail and the other woman talking in when they were in the standoff outside the Flame station?

Yeah, it was definitely Montand, he's the one that she referenced as "losing his arm." or some such.

They were speaking Russian or a variation of it.

That's good ol' Montaund and Robert!

Can't wait to see why they decided to name "The Dark Territory" as such, and the circumstances of Montaund losing his arm and Robert taking "the Key"!

However, I doubt either one is patchy. Tho I would not be at all surprised if at some point the Left Behinder's don't run into him at an earlier point, perhaps when he was still wearing the glass eye. Before he joined with Jacob and had to become "pure" by leaving behind his aesthetic enhancements. =D
