I posted this in another thread, & didn't have any takers, but I think it might be important:

I agree that the passport dates are important.

What I think is more important than Bentham's birthday, however, is the date the passport was "issued": December 12, 2007. Which means these events take place sometime AFTER 12/12/07 (or else Widmore's forged passport would be laughed at).

Am I wrong, or were we told that "We have to go baaaack" took place in MAY of 2007? I'll admit, I do have trouble keeping all of these dates straight, but I know there are people who obsess over these details...

Timeline people, what are your thoughts?!?

I'm pretty sure the latest O6 timeframe is late 2007, early 2008. They keep bringing up that they have been back for 3 years. While, it probably isn't exactly 3 years to the day from rescue, we can assume it is close. They were rescued in early January 2005.

I think there was a prop newspaper that appeared in Through the Looking Glass that was dated April 2007, but most likely this was an actual newspaper not a clue (or just a mistake), since that is when the actual episode was filmed. Another newspaper that was prominently displayed was in Something Nice Back Home. Jack was reading about baseball. This showed the date as August 2007. This lines up the timeline so that he was was about to start his drug addiction and downward spiral. The "we have to go back" scene would make sense to have occured a few months later. Hence late 2007, early 2008.
