Hey Javi, I saw that you were the writer for both Sun/Jin episodes (amazing job, by the way), so I figured you might be the best to ask about this...
In flashbacks, it is shown that Jin loves Sun, and will do anything for her. He also doesn't have a problem with her wearing low-cut, backless dresses and clothing, and he doesn't act like he's superior to her in the flashbacks either (and he isn't, since she's a much higher social status than him), all the way up to when they leave. It seems like their biggest problem is only that he can never spend time with her, even though he's doing it for them. He's too proud to tell her what he really does, and he's also protecting her from the true image of who her father really is. He was even planning on running away with her to America once he realized he was going to lose her.
But after the crash, it seems like he acts totally different. I know this is a good way of showing the audience "he's not such a bad guy after all", but he's controlling and won't even let Sun undo one of the buttons on her shirt, much less wear short sleeves, or god forbid a bikini. What's the deal with this? It seems like his attitude has completely changed toward her, or something happened recently that made him afraid to let her show any skin whatsoever.
I hope that whatever happened to cause this is explained in the plot at some point. What happened to Jin that's made him so controlling that undoing a single button is considered "indecent"? I can maybe understand if she cheated on him, or if a lot of men have tried to woo her away from him or something like that, but I think otherwise, this attitude goes far beyond just paranoia of other guys merely talking to her. Is this something you'll touch upon in future episodes?
