Did anyone else find this a bit contrived and far-fetched? Lapidus seems like a pretty stand-up sort of fella, he doesn't seem like the kind to leave a woman in the care of a murderer and a ghost. Surely he couldn't have been naive enough, after everything he's seen, to believe that he was actually going to be able to contact anyone? Sloppy writing, I think.

Nope. I'm totally with Frank on that one. His response was the NORMAL person's response. Much like Caesar, Frank was a reminder of how entrenched our characters now are in the mythology compared to the relatively average people they were at the beginning of the series. I didn't fault him in the slightest for throwing up his hands and saying "I'm outta here." He made an honest effort to protect Sun but he wasn't about to follow her to the ends of the earth.

I found a lot of the whole scene to be a little contrived... almost as if it were put in at the last moment or something. Not the usual quality writing, I'm afraid.

yea i did think this was a corny scene but it advanced the story and i think the above poster is right when he says this is how our characters think now. and thats how an average character thinks.
