Normally I watch for the mythology but had to take a few notes about the characters.

A lot of people seemed to be changing their minds..a lot.

First of all I don't understand Sawyer's behavior but perhaps someone else can give some insight. He told Richard that he was waiting for John Locke to come back. He knew Locke's mission was to bring back the Oceanic Six. Then when they do come back he's all "We were happy in Dharmaville until you came back!" Does that mean that deep down he honestly believed it would never happen and was shocked when it did?

And there is no doubt in my mind that he really loved Juliet. I like him so much better when he's not with Kate.

Then Kate. We have to stop Jack. Then agrees to back him up. I confess that for half a second during her conversation with Jack about Aaron she was going to say "I'm pregnant' but that would have been way over the top!:)

Juliet is on board to stop Jack...then she changes her mind as well. All because the way Sawyer 'looked' at Kate.

I thought the Jack/Sawyer fight was cathartic. No one really 'won' but they needed to have it out although my husband brought up the point of "Hey guys..um...Sayid is bleeding to death over here!"

Jack seemed so...Locke-like. He has always pushed his way before but this time was different. Before he made a decision but he was always so conflicted about it. and this time there was almost a 'peace' about him. I do wonder if perhaps the 'spriit' of Jacob might enter him and he and the faux Locke might be pulled into the cyle.

Liked that Miles ran to help his dad.

And liked Frank. The new people decided to keep him around because he might be a 'canidate'? For what? I thought it was because you always keep a pilot alive because you never know when he/she might come in handy!

Hurley wanted to stay in jail!

Anyway...just some observations on first viewing. Feel free to add what you saw.
