Was watching LA X again last night, came up with an idea for what could happen in season 6.

I think they will travel to ALT to retrieve John Locke.

John is special, everyone has said so, someone with so much potential was taken out too soon. We know he's important to the island, Widmore said that if he was not back on the island the wrong side would win, perhaps he was not talking about MiB Locke, after all he seemed very concerned when John told him of Richards message "You're going to have to die John", and if he was on the side of the MiB surely he would have reinforced this statement.

Locke will have to be back on the island for the right side to win, not as a corpse, but the real John Locke. Except he's dead in their reality.

Jack from TL1 will make the trip and intercept the consultation for Johns spine that TL2 Jack had mentioned, Locke will go along with it, thinking he is the same doctor, next thing you know he's back on the island, whether or not he regains his lost memories will remain to be seen but i'm thinking he will if it happens, we haven't got anther 5 seasons for him to find himself.

This is also what walt's statement was about, not MiB on the beach surrounded by people, but it will be a future event when John returns to the island from TL2.

Thoughts?

Certainly something that would be pretty cool. The non-crash timeline has to have a purpose, imo. It's not just going to show us Lostie living their lives out.

We have to get more on Widmore (and Hawking, imo) to really determine which island demi-god they support. If Widmore is a Man in Black affiliate, than what happened with John was suppose to happen. If he's a Jacob man, than him wanting to protect Locke and keep him from dying was genuine. I hope we're able to see more on his motivations (and Hawking, of course) early in the season.

Hopefully within the next few episodes.

I'd love to see old Locke back, tho I'm enjoying Terry O'quinns portrayal of this new, bad a** one.

Interesting solution, VOID. Perhaps they might grab a certain submarine and do a low pass over the sunken island and that island would then send them back to the other TL. Sort of a submerged version of the Ajira return flight, hee. It would be fun to see the sub appear grounded, right next to the Black Rock... or inside of it.

Great idea...I think they will have to converge timelines or cross stories, and using Locke would be a great way. Would the island heal him again ??

I like this idea alot! It would be great to see Jack trying to convince Locke to make a 'leap of faith'!

I tihnk it goes back to the book "Everything That Rises Must Converge" somehow the two timelines will converge...

I dont' know if it'll be a convergence. I think each can exist seperate of the other, and continue on that way. I think at some point there has to be a tie in, some kind of a bridging of the two. I would hesitate to call what has to happen a convergence.
