Is anyone else dying to see a Hanso on the show finally? I remember wanting to see some Dharma action back in Season 2 and they finally delivered it to us, first a small dose in Season 3 and then as the last half of Season 5. It seems like they've made sure to show us more of the stuff that was only hinted at in the early seasons. The only thing they haven't really gone into is the Hansos. It'd be nice to see how they fit into this. We know that Tovard Hanso was the first mate on the Black Rock. Is he on the island? Will we see him when we finally (hopefully) get a Jacob, Smokey and Richard flashback?

Don't hold your breath. They are SOOOO done with anything Dharma related. And thank God for that.

I disagree, but part of that is blind optimism that we will get some huge Dharma reveals this season. The Initiative will live on in Season 6.

I can see them showing us that Smokey was behind bringing Dharma to the island (they were some of the ones that he loved that were killed) or something big like that. At least we have to see how Hanso is related to the Black Rock/Dharma.

I don't know about anyone else, but I want to see more of that story and the original statue people more than anything else. More than I want to see Jack redeeming himself or Sawyer fulfilling his potential and certainly more than I want to see Kate running around anymore.

Can we just get a whole spin off series -- How I Met Your Smoke Monster. The whole show is just everything pre-815 and follows us from the statue people's time up until Dharma. One or Two shows at the end of this season isn't going to cut it for me.

I mean, I know we need closure and answers to our mysteries, but can't we finish up Season 6 and then just branch off with a new show and new mysteries. Who decided this was a bad idea?

It doesn't even have to have answers. I know how much you guys love making questions TPTB. Even an official Lost comic book, movie, book! I feel like a crack addict who knows that the world's crack supply is about to run out. Come on. I need it. :)

At least we have to see how Hanso is related to the Black Rock/Dharma.A lot of that was already revealed in The Lost Experience, and the producers have specifically stated that they are not interested in revisiting any of that material.

I don't know about anyone else, but I want to see more of that story and the original statue people more than anything else. More than I want to see Jack redeeming himself or Sawyer fulfilling his potential and certainly more than I want to see Kate running around anymore.Unfortunately, these wishes fly in the face of how the producers have said they are approaching this season, which is essentially to answer the big mysteries that matter to them and focus on character again a la season 1. They have already said that a lot of things the fans consider mysteries they have no interest in addressing.

For me, I think the Dharma stuff in the second 2/3 of season 5 was one of the biggest factors that contributed to how much season 5 sucked. They completely demystified what had once been a creepily cool collection of abandoned stations and scratchy old videos, revealing it to be nothing but a bunch of idiot hippie scientists.

I mean, I know we need closure and answers to our mysteries, but can't we finish up Season 6 and then just branch off with a new show and new mysteries. Who decided this was a bad idea?Well, the producers, for one, but also the majority of the fandom who just feel like when LOST is over, it should be over. Given the propensity for studios to milk franchises until they are dry these days, it would be something quite different and special if this phenomenally successful six-season television series were allowed to simply open and close properly, just like a good book.

OK. Duly noted. I stayed away from the non-canon stuff in hopes that they would be showing the important stuff on the show (I guess its not important.) I also was hoping that they still were waiting to peal back another layer of Dharma, which I still hold out hope for.

I may be in the minority on this also, but hearing the producers say exactly which sides of mysteries they are going to clear up and what they definitely won't show is a spoiler imo. It hasn't aired on TV and it leaves less possibilities about where the story might go in this season.

One of the cool things about Lost and these forums is we have a lot of possibilities to play with. Limiting them without a great reason is just joykill for me:) I know your intentions were good, but I would rather not know.

I agree. I think there was so much more they could have done with the Dharma experiments and the stations. They could have tied the weather experiments better with the sudden rain storms. They could have explained the whole sub and why you had to be asleep to take the journey. Don't get me started on the food drops. I think they used the Dharma stuff as a red herring to divert attention from the bigger mystery of Jacob/MIB.

I hope we do see a flashback of the Black Rock and a Hanso on it.

I hope we do see a flashback of the Black Rock and a Hanso on it.Agreed 100%. This would be the FB to end all FBs.

A lot of that was already revealed in The Lost Experience, and the producers have specifically stated that they are not interested in revisiting any of that material.

Speaking as an avid watcher of Lost, who never got involved in The Lost Experience, I feel there is a void in the story that still needs to be addressed.

I never got into The Lost Experience for several reasons. One was the fear of it might be laden with show spoliers. The second reason was Lost to me is a TV show. The greatest TV show of all-time, but still just a TV show. Following an ancillary internet add-on would have made following Lost like doing a school project, so I bypassed it. The third is The Lost Experience wasn't necessarily canon, so I didn't want to have a piece of Lost info from an internet side thing that might later be contradicted on the show.

Okay, so now that I have revealed my skipping of The Lost Experience assignment let me say that I want to know all about the Hanso story, and want to see it addressed in the show. I can still remember how the grainy images of the mysterious Alvar Hanso from the Orientation video sprang so many questions into mind. Well, I want them answered in the show, and I want it now!

And what about the DeGroots? Damn*t I want to see the DeGroots! And I want to see DHARMA landing on the Island for the first time! I know some of you are rolling your eyes with, "But we did a whole season of DHARMA." Well, yeah, but in that whole season we really learned little about DHARMA. I mean c'mon. we didn't even get to see Ann Arbor, Michigan. Now, that's a letdown!!!!

Oh no! Im a-gettin' a flashback...

Whoosh!!!!

Scene: Mr. Find and TPTB at a golf course snack stand.

Mr. Find: I want a hamburger. No, a cheeseburger... I want a hot dog. I want a milkshake.

Carlton Cuse: You'll get nothing and like it!

Damon Lindelof: Yeah, and don't forget you didn't even follow The Lost Experience, so you're lucky we even allow you on this course... Oh, for Heavens sake! It looks likes my golf shoes will need a buffing.

Mr. Find: Right on it!

Damon Lindelof: Look at the wax build-up on those shoes! This is fine leather! I want that wax stripped off! I want them creamed and buffed with a fine chamois. I want them now!

Mr. Find: You've got them, sir!

Whoosh!!!!

Um, nevermind.

Funny, the exact same thing happened to me, only with The Temple being revealed in LA X. Once again some stupid hippie colony, mixed in with Mad Max and Pirates of the Caribbean. I thought the temple was some supernatural creepy place!?!

Thank you!! Glad to see somebody feels the same as me. To not show the Degroots or , the Hansos would be a failure of epic proportions. We will definitely see a Hanso or two on the Black Rock, but to say that we have gotten everything from our Dharma experience last season is horrible. They could have shown Daniel with the Degroots last season if they weren't planning on showing them......wait-a-minute

We STILL have to see what Daniel was doing in those three years. At least hear. And one of my theories in the general theories pool is that there are several characters sacrificing themselves or their relationships to save certain people ie. Charlotte, Theresea, Daniel, Jacob. In that theory I was thinking that this was what Daniel was planning for 3 years in Ann Arbor.

I watched the Comic Con yesterday (same spoiler as above but I will spoiler tag it here) TPTB say they won't be focusing much on Dharma this season

But I think hopefully this is a red herring. Sure the bulk of the season will be about MIB, our alt., and the island Losties, but if they don't somehow tie up Degroots/Hanso with the bigger picture in the show, then why even bring them up?

And I totally agree that the Dharma crap from last season really didn't teach us anything at all. I didn't mind at the time, because I was SURE they would give us a couple more juicy reveals this season. And I still think they will. Rodimus, I don't think that quote means we won't see Dharma this season. Just that it won't be a focus. And if you know something in addition to the Comic Con, I don't want to know.

And you said that they want to wrap up the story and not extend it out too long. Sure, but what about not long enough, which is what is happening if they don't do the history of the island/Degroots/Hanso. Was it budget, lack of ideas, why would they make Dharma so vanilla for us last season if they weren't planning on showing it all this season? Maybe the first thing I am genuinely upset about Lost if this is true. I don't care about Valenzetti. I care about mysterious Hansos.

And that was my whole point of my previous post, was that if they aren't going to show us the Hanso/Degroots on the show, then they owe us a little extra episode where they explain it documentary style, or they show us. Can we Fuselagers put money towards a fund that would pay for this? How much does an episode like that cost? Without the main stars? Anybody know?

LOL!!!!!!! That's funny... (I like how I met your mother). I would love to know about the ancient people who wrote the heiroglyphs(sp?), who made the tunnels, who built the statue and all that but I don't know if it will take more than 1 or 2 eps to summarize that.

Personally I'd love to see more smoke monster so I'm all for your idea

Definitely seems like there is unfinished business with the Daniel story.

As for the MIB story I am getting a little tired of it. Hopefully things pick up with it or they move onto other things.

I want to see the Hanso and Degroots stories addressed in the show. Just speaking for myself, I skipped The Lost Experience so I see no reason to watch what ultimately is just some fanfic. Your idea is not a bad one, but the show should really tie up these loose ends.
