View Full Version : Who's left for Smokey to kill?
simone5p 03-09-2010, 01:13 AM Besides his own flock, and unless I'm forgetting someone ... Jack, Hurley, Jin (maybe), Ilana, Miles, Sun, Lapidis, Ben (maybe).
Not a big group of resistance fighters... only 8 max... wow, wonder how will that work out?
beema 03-09-2010, 01:29 AM there's still a bunch of hapless redshirt Ajira passengers back on Hydra island :p
Ilana better not die before we find out what her purpose is!

Kate, Richard, Sawyer (maybe) plus you do have to add Claire and Sayid because they aren't officially dead, claimed maybe but not dead.

I see your point. I was including Sayid, Claire, Sawyer and Kate on Smokey's side for now, but surely, Richard is another warrior for the resistance! And deadJacob. Do they have a shot at defeating Smokey? So far he's whooping a**.:undecide:
Avius 03-09-2010, 11:00 AM Everyone always forgets about poor Rose and Bernard. They picked Jack's side when the group split and Locke's group went to the village. They don't like Locke and think he's a murderer. They're going to like this one even less.
RodimusBen 03-09-2010, 11:24 AM Don't forget that, so long as he is following the rules, MiB can't kill candidates. So that eliminates half of 'em right there.

You know, that's a good point. It's obvious, so nobody really thinks about it, but if you think about it in the context of what other people on the show have said, seems like Richard was full of it when he said the MIB is going to kill everyone. I mean, he simply CAN'T kill any of the remaining candidates, apparently. He can do it via proxy I guess, but it still seems like Richard was making hyperbole at the very least.
It seems to me that Team Jacob is actually responsible for "killing" some of the remaining few candidates: Locke and Sayid.

That's an interesting point. Maybe they're like the "Han and Chewbacca" in episode IV when they didn't want to have anything to do with the resistance fight against the Death Star. Just when you think they don't have a dog in the Island fight, Rose and Bernard will come out of nowhere in the end to save the day and help bring defeat to Flocke. Heh.

Richard does not know about Candidates according to his conversation with Flocke. He probably assumed everyone would die.

Obviously we didn't see them this week, but shouldn't there be more people with Ilana? The ones Flocke was very disappointed in?
Also, as mentioned above, there are some Ajira survivors on Hydra Island still. Locke told Richard they'd have to be dealt with.

No they went to the Temple.
"The Substitute"
[QUOTE][Partial time skip sound and back to the island where Locke's dead body is still lying on the beach outside the four toed statue. There is a small crab on his neck. Frank, carrying a rifle, and Sun walk over the crate and Locke.]
FRANK: He's getting pretty ripe.
[Frank covers Locke with the tarp from the crate. Ilana walks to a rock behind Frank and Sun and picks up her pack. Frank keeps his eye on Ilana.]
ILANA: Where is everybody?
SUN: They left. They said they were going to the Temple.
Only Ilana, Frank, Ben and Sun were left (http://gallery.lost-media.com/displayimage.php?pid=134887&fullsize=1)and they buried Locke before they went to the Temple.
