I just wanted to address something that you touched on in your interview with 20/20. You compared the show's audience to spectators in a gladiator arena and said that we wanted blood. I'm assuming by this you meant that many of us actually want the characters to die. I think that if you'll read through some of the other threads here, you'll see that this is NOT AT ALL the case. Most of the show's loyal viewers are loyal because of characters, and to kill characters off just so that people die would not only offend that character's fanbase (and likely cost the show viewers), but would degrade the artistic integrity of the show. People love Lost because it is smart TV...please don't allow the show to lose that edge to appeal to those who want gore just for the sake of gore.
