i enjoy your show very much, which says a lot for me since i do not own or watch TV. (My brother saves episodes to disc and brings them by to watch on my computer). He knows my personality and tastes and knew that i would appreciate the show, which i do.

In terms of feedback, i enjoy most the characters of Jin and his wife. Even though they are of a different culture i find that i very much identify with them and was amazed with the similarities, and was very happy to see them makeup in the last episode. i think this is an aspect the viewers find interesting. The show tries to break standardized perceptions, as is seen by the Iraqi hero of Sayid; killing off main characters. The shows strength is in it's characters in dealing with their strength and weaknesses.

With this, I would like to suggest a character of young chassidic man. Are there other regular characters like this on TV (if so let me know the series) The son of a Rebbe. Not a Rabbi, but a Chassidic Rebbe. To know what that means can provide a wealth of material. There is a large chassidic community in Australia so it is no surprise that one might have been in the tail section of the plane. It seems to me that a polarization is occurring between Jack and Locke. Locke representing faith and Jack the intellect. Both approaches are necessary when navigating the obstacles of life but when relied on solely, can lead to severe consequences (not always good). A balance between the two needs to be made and a character of a chassid could be a great bridge. Along with the other paranormal stuff that is occurring on the show, a good guide can be useful. Besides it seems based on the numbers you are using you might be going somewhat in that direction, those numbers cant be a coincidence. What do you think , is TV ready for this?

I dont know if its a conscious effort of the writers. The fact that they chose the name Aaron for the baby I think might reveal where the show might be going. Aaron the brother of Moses was the high priest. The job of the priest is to unify, connect G-d with the people. This task is accomplished by drawing G-d's presence into this world. One way that this is done is by the priests function of removing spiritual impurity from the camp. This impurity obscures G-ds presence, less presence more chaos. The priest thus has a tremendously powerful role, through the guidance of his actions he can bring peace and order to the people and the land.

Now what if the priest instead of working his efforts towards good and removing the spiritual impurity desired to increase it? What if his desire was to create a world of chaos? This balance of resonsability his HUGE!! Thats why the psychic reacted the way he did, by shaking in fear. The baby is special and was born with a purpose in this world that carries with it tremendous responsability. I think he picked up that the mother would die and if influenced by the wrong element the results might be catastrophic. But then the next time the psychic calmly looked again (this time looking for what will hapen after the mom died) and saw that the baby will be raised by Jin and Sun and the end result would be good. Just my personal guess on the subject.
