Hello!

First, I want to thank Fury, JJ, Damon, et. al for creating such a wonderful show. I never watch network tv, but ABC has got me hooked. Lost is just so well-crafted - I can barely wait the week between shows.

I know you can't really answer many of our questions, and frankly, I'm not sure I would want all of them answered. However, I would like to know* if:

1) Claire's popularity has surprised you?

She's my favorite, along with Locke, because she's so kind, and has a big heart. I loved how she took charge of the memorial service for the passengers who did not survive. I know Kate is the leading lady, but I read several boards, and Claire is universally loved. Did you expect that from her character?* Aside from the Claire episode coming up, can we expect to see more of her? I miss her when she's not on screen.

2) Has Claire and Charlie's popularity surprised you?

Kate and Jack are considered the leading "couple", but I see that most fans adore Claire and Charlie, even though they shared only a brief scene. I* loved how Charlie took care of Claire when her health started to fail; they have a real chemistry and I'd bet they'd* be great for each other.

3) Rumors are that a major character will be killed by the end of the season. Without giving anything away,* are you afraid that people might think that this would be done purely for shock value, without adding anything to the story?
