had her baby taken from her womb and then she was killed.

This reminded me of Claire's situation and what the future holds for her!

you never can know what's going to be in the news or not - as with the spoilers and the buzz and the awards, we just come in and make the best show we can.

a lot of things that seem like a huge deal in the news today are no longer around by the time the episodes air anyway, so we just duck and cover and go about our business - and in the case of stories of such great impact as 9-11, airplane crashes, the tsunamis, you try to not offend people's sensitivites.

as far as claire goes... well, what can i tell you, the island is a dangerous place - but we wouldn't rip something off the headlines, we have our own plans for these characters.
