Firstly, hello.

In a former thread you mentioned that you only type with one finger. Whereas in Season 2’s Episode 1 we clearly see Desmond furiously typing away with all fingers as he inputs the ”magic numbers”.

So spill the beans mister, was that a hand double? Or did you go through a difficult and vigorous training regime in the ways of word processing?

I had a personal typing trainer and we worked out every morning to get into typing shape...also did a few workshops and watched lots of typing films.. like '9 to 5'...not that i would ever compare myself to Dolly Parton...

If I remember rightly...I used two fingers..?

And right you are, right you are! Two fingers it was. Strange thing is though, you were typing with your middle fingers, rather than your index fingers. Does that relate to Desmond’s torment and stress? Or is it just a personal preference?

Don't all single finger typers, type with their middle fingers?

You know something; I’m really not too sure. I hardly type in a traditional way because I taught myself, and the last time I typed with single fingers was several years ago. You could be right, I could be wrong. Honestly though, after thinking about it, I would think it’s down to personal preference.

It could come down to how much longer a person’s middle fingers are than their index finger.

Anyway, keep up the good work and I hope to see Desmond back in Lost soon.
