Hi there, Andrea!* *:D* First off..I have to say, you were superb in "Solitary". I have to admit, I found Sayid's backstory to be the most interesting and sad. (I love the sad romantic stuff.. lol ^_^") Nadia was such an awesome character-it had to have been loads of fun. Our favorite line that my best friend and I love to recite from her is "Your not going to hurt me...are you Sayid?" It was just such a powerful sentence!

I am in 9th grade and I'm currently taking Drama (I have an amazing teacher). Did you used to act when you were younger? For me, sometimes I get stage fright.... like one time we had to recite 'monologues' in front of an audience...and I couldnt stop shaking! I was terrified.... Do you have any pointers on how to get over this? We're just now starting on a play, so it could help me out a lot for 'next time'.

Last of all, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! I hope to talk to you on the boards again and see more of Nadia soon, too!

Hey there, Sarah! Thank you so much for your sweet words about Solitary. I love the sad romantic stuff, too. :'( It was a wonderful experience playing Nadia. I did act in school when I was younger and I totally know what you mean about stage fright. There's nothing scarier than live theater... It's can be hard to overcome. But try to remember that it's all mind over matter. Remember to breathe, and try to focus on what you're doing instead of the people "out there." When you're working with someone else it's a little easier because you can concentrate on them instead of the audience, but when you're doing a monologue, try to focus on the words that you're saying and what you're trying to communicate. Then hopefully your body will relax and you'll be able to live in the moment. And have fun!! That's why they call them "plays," after all. ;D

Thank you so much for the advice! I'll be sure to use it. I think it is so wonderful that you come onto the boards to answer our questions. It really means a lot to us. :D
