Mr Cusick, you mentioned in another thread that you'd been listening to the Dears. There was a ridiculous scene of jumping around shrieking "OMG THE DEARS!!!!1" in my room, as my best friend (who oddly enough was peering over my shoulder when I first read the post, and is currently hopping around nagging me to type faster) and I once spent a spring break following the band on a leg of a tour (Vancouver Island, 2003 - they are phenomenal live). I had been lurking in this forum, but I can't resist giving a Dears-related shout out to you, because this is one of those weird collisions of worlds that can't really be believed. Like Jack meeting Desmond down the hatch, only more girly.

Anyway, if you haven't already, please please please listen to "Heartless Romantic", "There is No Such Thing as Love", "She's Well Aware", and "This is a Broadcast" -- all great Dears songs not to be missed.

Just curious: admittedly I don't know where you currently reside, but how does a Scot come to be listening to an er, not obscure..."extra-mainstream"?....band from Montreal? Did they tour near you, or something?
