Mr. Lindelof,
I'd just like to say, that if I were a high school English teacher, and I'm not, I'd be seriously considering adding Lost to the curriculum! I remember being a high school student, struggling with the concept of thesis writing, and I think I really could have learned a lot from this show.
My friends and I all watch the show, and weekly we're coming up with different theories of symbolism, dusting off philosophy text books we haven't cracked in years, researching names on the internet. I even searched the internet for some Buddist Dharma involving a swan and an arrow (I found some, but that's beside the point). I didn't have a clue who BF Skinner was, and now I know. Never has a television show inspired me to do research...I'm coming up with thesis papers in my head for fun! It's pure craziness. I'm a geek!
You all are smart as whips and there are a lot of viewers out there who really appreciate that. Thanks for bringing a little zest for learning back to the 9-5.

p.s. Ana Lucia's band of misfits is totally Hobbsian, and it's playing right into my theory. Ha Haaaa!
p.p.s. A few months ago I thought Hobbsian was the opposite of Calvinist.
p.p.s. Whoa.
