Since you mentioned Damian Rice, I* have a rec. for you.* If you have not* heard him before, you should take a listen to the late Jeff Buckley -- a truly amazing singer/songwriter.* I recently purchased the re-released Grace with an accompying DVD and was reminded what a great loss the music world suffered when he died.

On a happier note, I can't wait for the Hurley ep!

Yes Grace is a brilliant album. A loss yes, but he didn't he take himself out?

There are 3 theories surronding his death :

1. accidental -- he was drunk and just decided to go swimming.* I am originally from the south and one does not usually take a casual dip in the Mississippi ...

2. suicide -- although most claim he was not depressed, there were rumors that the failed commercial success of Grace and the difficulty with the follow-up album led Jeff to taking his own life.

3. murder -- for the conspiracy theorists, apparently Jeff was not alone that night ... he was alledgedly with his girlfriend and they were fighting ... I guess she wasn't all that stable.

Oh well, I was just listening to the second CD from the Legacy edition while driving over the GG bridge ... life in Cali is so much better when its not raining* ;)
