Hello again Ian!
You were kind enough to respond to one of my previous posts with some of your favourite music (...your desert island picks). I just wanted to tell you that your note prodded me out of a musical "coma" that I'd been in for a while, so THANKS!! I dug up some of my old Bowie, which sadly was all vinyl. Naturally, I replaced it all with CDs. Merry Christmas to me!. Now, when I drive my two-and-a-half year old daughter to preschool in the morning, I get quite a kick out of her demanding to hear the "Bippity Boppety song" (...Queen B*tch) about 11 times in a row, along with Here Comes Your Man by the Pixies and Gin Soaked Boy by Tom Waits. Yes, my days of having to listen to insipid children's music are OVER!! I hope you have similarly corrupted your boys... :msn-wink:
I wish you and your family a very happy holiday season, Ian. I look forward to seeing more of your fine work, on the big and small screen, next year.
All the best,
Barb
PS -- as you are a Bowie fan and a guitar player, I highly recommend the new Seu Jorge recording The Life Aquatic Studio Sessions. Bowie sung in Portuguese.... love it!
