I have class on wednesday nights....i do not get home till after 9:00. I record this show and you guys keep MOVING THE END TIME. Last night's show ended at 2 or 3 minutes after 9pm. My recordings are cutting off the last minute...it is ticking me OFF. I suspect the reason you are doing this is to mess up the people who record via tivo, or to artificially pump up the DVD sales that you are planning on. STOP IT! Stuff like this only annoys the fans. Now, I love this show....and I am totally addicted....but tick me off enough and I WILL stop watching.

Since you know this is going to happen every week... maybe set your recording to go like to 9:05 just to make sure you get it all?
Just a thought.

It doesn't happen every week. And its running time changes significantly.
I have also run into 2 people today that asked me how it ended because they missed the last few minutes due to the same problem. They were also annoyed. Do what you will, but messing with fans is not smart....

To each his own I guess but if I KNOW that the show has a possiblity of running past 9 be it 2 minutes or 4 minutes, I know if I extend my recording by 5+ minutes, I am certain to get it all.
EDITED TO ADD: The next 2 eps will run over by 3 minutes and Alias will also start late and run over, so set your VCR now to compensate. :)

Thank you for the heads up on the running time...I truly love this show....which is why I hate missing that last little bit. I'm way too caught up in the characters to miss the closer. Thanks for providing an awesome show...

By the way check out this thread on the fuselage forums:

This behavior does annoy fans. At least one person said they have stopped watching and are going to wait for summer reruns. Others have mentioned waiting for DVDs. Either way leads to decreased viewers and lower ratings. We love this show...treat it right and we will watch!!!

Now that I think about it...this is probably more an ABC issue that it is a writers/producers issue. I'll forward my concerns to ABC where they belong...
To the writers and producers...thanks for the effort in putting out an excellent show...
