Hi Javi!

Wow, it seems like forever since I've been able to catch up with you on the LB.* :smiling:* Hope the new year is treating you well.

Couple of things I wanted to ask you about.

My question is about the key Jack's wearing around his neck. It struck me last night when I was watching Jack. (thank you for the sweet Jack and Kate moments last night!)

Given that all the props are intentional and have meaning, is there anything symbolic to the key being worn around his neck, ie. "the key to Jack" or "the key to his heart"... or as Frued would say, "Sometimes a Cigar is just a Cigar..." ? :ermm:

Just curious if it's a practical solution to keeping the ammo secure, or if there is additional meaning regarding Jack and Kate.* Can you enlighten us?

BTW, a few of us Jack and Kate admirers dabbled a bit in writing our own storylines for fun, and I have to say, it was MUCH harder than I thought to get in the character's heads-- to get the dialogue, actions and thoughts authentic. I have a whole new appreciation for what you and the others writers do every week. And thank you for sharing your own personal writing process (in the other questions you answered here)...* * I bow down to you*!

We think so highly of you and the other VIP's and the fact that you care enough to visit with us.

Many thanks Javi,

hi foxy - thanks for the kind words, it's a pleasure for me to be able to come here and communicate with so many people about a common intererest (lost, of course!).

the key... it could be all the things you say, in fact. it is both a practical solution to the ammo safety problem, a reminder to kate of some of the lies she has told jack, maybe it's the key to his heart... and maybe a key is just a key. it's one of those things that serves a pracxtical purpose and is also open to interpretation.

best,
