Does Steven S. DeKnight still work on Smallville?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Does peeing on a wound caused by a sea urchin actually help?* I've heard that it works for a jellyfish sting.* I don't know about sea urchins.* Do they sting?* Do they even have venom?

I think it's a lot funnier if Hurley was wrong.* *:D

Did anyone with basic medical knowledge tell Jack that you should NEVER pull something out of a person once imbedded??? To my memory, he's done it twice already - metal shrapnel from sheriff and knife from Sawyer's arm? Perhaps there should be some medical consultant on the staff, or is this just an oversight in writing?

Excerpts from Fury's response:
I kept telling Jack not to pull anything out, but he just won't listen, the jerk.
Just go with it, or the logic bumps will drive you MAD!* MAD, I SAY!

I think it was totally logical.* Jack is a surgeon.* The rule applies only to us laypeople.* Jack pulled the shrapnel out of the marshall only after he realized that rescuers would not arrive in time.* You have to pull the shrapnel, eventually, in order to perform the surgery.

I think that Jack pulled the knife out of Sawyer so he could get his fingers into the wound and pinch the severed artery (rather than applying pressure to the artery indirectly through the skin).
