I hope this isn't a duplicate question, but I couldn't find it anywhere else. Would seeing a theory presented by a poster on a forum prompt the writers to go in a different direction if it was too close to where you were going with the show? In other words, could posting of theories be self-defeating because if someone gets it right, you may want to avoid going that way in order to keep people surprised?
