 I have a question regarding seasons, not just in LOST, but other shows as well. It used to be, (about 20 years ago), that our tv show season would start around September and continue through spring time...then it would be the season finale, repeats through the summer, etc.
What is the deal this year?! We're LUCKY if we get three NEW shows, and there is a repeat. I am a HUGE LOST fan, among other shows, but it's really getting old fast! People are starting to lose interest...it's VERY frustrating. LOST is different than most shows...it leaves you on the edge of your seat throughout the hour, and has you dangling for a week...the fans can't wait to tune in...there are even counters online, (6 days, 5 hours, 23 min for next episode)...I just want to understand why ABC or whatever network is running their programs this way now.
The word on the net now is that after this week's episode, we will have SIX WEEKS of reruns...is this true?!
I don't work for television, but it would make more sense to me if they ran the repeats in the summer, when people are busy, on vacation, not worried about TV. But, like I said, I don't know much about the industry, so I'm hoping you can answer my question or send it to someone who can.
Thanks for any help you may be able to give me...I really appreciate you taking time out of your schedule to answer my question.
