I just wanted to say, first of all, that I truly enjoy your work on Lost, and enjoyed your work on other projects, such as Alias and The X-Files, as well as the movies you have been in. You are a master at your craft and I enjoy your presence anytime you are on screen.

Imagine my happiness when I found that not only are you a wonderful actor, but you are also a genuinely nice guy! You won't remember this, but we met briefly on a football field while you were filming Hometown Legend. (If you do remember the encounter, I was not one of the annoying teenage girls who asked you stupid questions!) Anyway, you were very nice to me, my friend, and even the annoying teenage girls. I also remember that you were throwing a football around with some of the young boys during down time, which I thought was really awesome.

Now to the question. You have played many very diverse roles in your career so far, and have played all of them with absolute believability. How does playing Locke compare with those other roles? Are you enjoying yourself so far? Is Locke as mysterious to you as he is to us?

Thanks again for being so nice to a fan a few years ago, and keep up the awesome work!

Hey CharliesGal, I remember those nights down in Alabama! I had such a good time.............really nice people......................threw the football 'til my right arm gave out then switched and threw 'til the other hurt.................honestly. Those kids just kept running!
The role of Locke came along at what has turned ou to be a pivotal point in my life, so it's hard to talk about the role of Locke, and the whole LOST project, as separate from the last year in general. It's been a remarkable year for me and my family, and LOST is all mixed up in it, so I can't really compare Locke to other roles. It's been more of an adventure than anything else I've done. Of course the writing's been exceptional, but there's so much more involved. Sorry I can't be more specific, but it's been quite a ridel.................................hope it goes on awhile.

Best of luck to you and yours
Have a great year Terry

Thanks so much for the reply! I know you guys are so busy, yet you take the time to post to us crazy fans! It is greatly appreciated, I promise.

I'm glad to hear you've had a remarkable year. I was so happy when I heard you were going to be on Lost, and to see that you have such an important role on the show, and that the show is going so well, just makes it even better.

I think you know that all the fans agree with you in hoping it goes on for awhile.

And I'm glad you enjoyed our Southern hospitality during the filming of Hometown Legend... though I'm sure Hawaii is a much better location! lol
