Hey Terry,
First of all, I would like to commend you for the excellent work you are doing. Locke is one of the most complex and interesting characters I have ever had the pleasure to watch. I also wanted to let you know that the way you portrayed Locke's paraplegia was really touching. I was born with Spina Bifida, and have been a para my whole life, so the way that he felt at the travel agency was very real to me. Would you rather portray a character you can relate to or one that you can't? How does that factor into how you play the character?
Will we find out more about Locke's "condition"? Do you have any idea what he was like before?

Hi Kazaam, I don't think I could play a character that I couldn't relate to somehow. There's no way for me to understand what your life has been, but I'm not unfamiliar with frustration, anger, shame, helplessness and a load of other emotions that make up our psycho - soup. I try to focus on that frustration, that sense of unfairness, and multiply it. There are things I can't know, but must imagine, and when you tell me it was touching, I am very grateful.
We're going to start shooting a new Locke episode at the end of next week, so we'll know more about his past, perhaps even what put him in the wheel chair, right after Hurley's episode, later this season. Stay in touch, Terry

Terry,
Thanks for replying, you are awesome. I hope I didn't sound presumptuous in asking those questions. You are absolutely right, everyone has their own issues and struggles. They are no more or less important, just different. I like what Locke said to Charlie about struggle being nature's way of strengthening. He is so wise! ;D I definitely wouldn't be the person I am today without all of my life experiences, and I don't think I would change any of them. I can't wait to find out what Locke was like before the incident.

Hey, Kazaam
Not presumptuous at all. I thought they were good questions..........................made me think. I like Locke's philosophy too, as long as it doesn't kill you. Sometimes you want to say, "O.K., Strong enough.........ready for a break........uhh, that's enough strengtening. I get it." I guess some of us don't get out of the cocoon. Makes you crazy, though...........................what's fair?
