Hey Javi!

Was doing some scrolling in the VIP archives and found that you had the poster for Naqoyqatsi hanging in your office... I only have one thing to say..

HOW AWESOME WAS THAT TRILOGY!?!?!

I'm excited that there's someone else out there who has seen it!!! :) My friend's dad is an insane fan of the movies, and also of Phillip Glass's music, in fact, his dad is out in D.C. and will be checking out Phillip in concert on Thursday? Anyway, they told me I had to come check out Naqoyqatsi with them when it was released, and we checked it out at this small independent theatre in Portland, and it was phenomenal. I watched the other two the next day, bought the soundtracks.. just incredible. Usually I talk about it and people go... what? You mean there's no words? Just pictures and music? Umm... screw that. So thank you! :) I'm glad you liked it also! You ever wanna talk Qatsi, look me up! hehe

Cheers!!!
Ben

hi ben!

glad you like the works of mr. glass -- he's been a favorite of mine for a long time. i saw him play the scores to the first two movies with his ensemble about three years ago (they projected the movies on a screen behind the orchestra) at ucla and it was one of the best concert experiences i have ever had.

you may want to check out "1000 airplanes on the roof" that's a pretty awesome score as well -- and the music he did with foday musa suso (featured on the powaqqatsi score) for "the screens" is also outstanding.

thanks for the shout out!
