LOL, just kidding, although impossible as it may sound, I would love you even more if you were! Seriously, I normally don't post messages to actors and such, because I am a realist and know that they either don't read them or don't respond to them due to lack of time. However I have heard that you guys come in here, so I figured what the heck?

I wanted to say that I think you are an exceptional actor. I started watching Lost when I heard that my favorite Hobbit was going to be part of the cast. I first saw you in the LOTR trilogy (WOW what a trio of movies. I loved them so much, that I got a tattoo of the ring's inscription around my ankle and the elven leaf on my arm. Everything about the movies was beautiful and when you watch them, you have to catch your breath at the landscape and language. How great was it to see a movie that I could watch with my kids - TEN HOURS with no cursing, sex, nudity - amazing). Had they killed you in the pilot, I probably would not have watched beyond that (although NOW I am hooked!). Well, here is a question for you:

How does your "Lost" experience differ from the LOTR trilogy? You are still working with a big cast, in a beautiful setting. What are some of the things that set it apart?
