Hello Terry,
I enjoyed tonight's ep (will watch it again when hubby gets home!).* I knew there was something special about Walt when he was playing backgammon with Hurley (I guess everyone did).* I'm sure Locke knew as well.... can't figure out when Locke realized it though, may have to re-watch a few eps!* Hubby says Locke is the facilitator for "the group" and he is there to guide (or push if need be) each character to deal with whatever it is they were on their way (or returning from) dealing with in Sydney.* We both agree (now) that Locke is on the side of good (I'm sure, the way the show has gone so far, that we'll change our minds a time or two!) and is mentoring Walt to try to steer him the the proper direction and to realize his full potential (toward the good).* I think one of the best scenes was when Locke was telling Walt that they couldn't spend time together anymore... don't know why really, just seemed "touching" to me.* I also liked the way Boone blew of Shannon!*
My hubby has theories about the hatch as well... you've probably never seen 'A Boy and His Dog" (doesn't seem like your type of movie after reading your responses!) but in the movie there is an underground civilization... hummmmmm.* Can't wait to see more about the hatch... also, looking forward to Hurley's backstory, still have no idea what it could be.
OT
You seem to be such a kind and thoughtful person... your reply to Kazaam just reinforced that!* Thanks for all the time you take to reply to all of us, and for providing us with years of wonderful (and sometimes not so...) characters!!!

Thanks, Georgia
I couldn''t say which side I think Locke is on, But I think he believes he's doing the right thing. I get a little worried that he thinks he's smarter than everyone else................or, more ready..........for whatever. But it's great to hear that it's a subject of discussion between you and your husband. I'm glad the scene in which Locke tells Walt that he mustn't come to him anymore affected you. It did me too. Does Locke have any family? Was he always alone? I wanna know. Hopefully we'll learn something in the next Locke - centric episode.

Thanks for your interest, Terry

Hi Terry,
I remembered this morning why it was the scene where Locke told Walt they couldn't spend time together touched me the way it did... a childhood memory, how odd.
Hubby thinks Locke is not evil and thinks of himself as a prophet (or that he IS a prophet), I think there is a danger of him thinking he is invincible.* I believe Locke did have a wife and 1 child... maybe there was some type of accident where he was not able to get to them because of his condition and that's what drove him to pursue the "Walkabout" etc... I know, a little out there, but it sure is fun to speculate!
Hope you are having a great weekend... we are working on building the best damn snow fort in town!*

Hubby had a dream last night that he was one of the survivors and a plane accident reconstruction specialist.* That tall blonde (or light brown) haired extra that we see in the background now and then kept following him around asking questions about how the crash happened etc.* He told her the way the plane had come apart was not possible and that nobody on the island should have survived...
A while later in his dream Michael had built a boat and was trying to launch it when Locke and his "henchmen" (his words!) came to stop him... actually, Locke just stood back and watched.* Hubby said he went over to Locke and asked him if he thought everything had a purpose and Locke, looking pensive, said "yes, I do" then shook hands with hubby.* Hubby said Lockes hand was strong but it felt like shaking hands with a skelton....
figure that one out!!!* (well, maybe next time he'll dream about me! ;))
