No question, just a theory you could comment on if you feel like it.

Locke said the person who hit Sayid was likely the one who profited the most from staying on the island.* However, I see no profit to Sawyer in staying on the island.* A few trading items don't seem worth sabotaging a rescue and anybody thinking straight would know it. There is one person we absolutely know profits by staying on the island and that's Kate.* She's taken a lot of trouble to run away from trouble, so why does she seem to want to help Sayid so much?* I can't help but notice that she always volunteers to help him, and his efforts are always sabotaged.* Perhaps it has been established that the Frenchwoman hits him?* Because if not, my main suspect is Kate.* We have no time frame for when Kate returned to the caves and when Sayid was hit over the head.* It would also explain why Kate was so annoyed when Sawyer accompanied them.* She had to find a way to sabotage the radio signal with him along.* *He gave her the excuse she needed.* It also explains why she stayed on the beach.* She wants to stay close to Sayid, not to help with the rescue effort, but to sabotage it.

This little lady might be a lot more interesting than I suspected.* Perhaps she really is "dangerous".* And I think Sawyer is the only one that suspects her (or is in on it with her?).* And maybe Jack, who doesn't quite trust her even though he said the past was past.

This is a wild spec, but to my mind takes account of quite a few pieces.

BTW: I say I wonder a little if she's playing Sawyer (let alone Sayid and Jack!) not just because of the last episode, but because I never really understood Sawyer's shooting of the marshall.
