In the last episode, Dave, you introduced Hurley's psychiatrist, Dr. Brooks, played by Bruce Davison. While Davison is an outstanding actor in his own right, I was wondering if his work on the WNET/PBS adaptation of Ursula LeGuin's The Lathe of Heaven, had any influence on his casting. If you aren't familar with the story, the plot concerns a young man (who, in the PBS movie, was played by Davison) who is capable of altering reality by dreaming and who is manipulated by a psychiatrist. Considering the similar themes brought up by the story (amongst others; I spotted homages to Abre los ojos/Vanilla Sky as well) and this recent episode, I thought I would like to get word from the source if this was a indeed a reference or just a coincidence. Or any illusion of coincidence
