Hey!
Ready for more bizarre questions? I reread the job description you posted and I am amazed by how many details you have to juggle. I really enjoy the small touches and the intricacies of each character's story, especially when it comes to families and family ties.
Now, I don't know if you can satisfy my curiosity or not, but I was wondering if the casting decisions for the losties' relatives take into account physical resemblance. Jack's parents are described in the White Rabbit pink copy (you're laughing at my misguided use of the lingo, aren't ya?) as "crisply put together", "blue blooded" and "stoic" (Margo) and "handsome", "intense" and "intelligent" (Christian). I've always enjoyed the fact that the actors chosen for the parts actually look like they're Jack's parents. John Terry (who is phenomenal as Christian btw) as Felix Leiter in The Living Daylights looks a bit like Matthew Fox, but I notice that doesn't seem to be the case with a lot of other characters. Diane looks nothing like Kate, for example, and neither does Wayne. I realize talent, availability and the like come first but these descriptions in scripts got me intrigued. Do physical features play any part in casting relatives?
It was also interesting to read about the intense name research you do. So how many John Lockes did you find in California? How about Rousseaus? Is Jack's full name Jonathan or John or simply Jack? And for future reference, I already know of a couple of Kate Shephards, but one's in Texas and the other one lives in the UK, so you should be safe. (Just trying to be a good little minion and give a helping hand, that's all ;))
Thank you!
Claudia
PS: You've got me even more excited about these last four episodes. I didn't even think that was possible.
