Hi Gregg,
Love the show, as you can probably guess but I've had a beef this season that I'm sure you've heard before. I was interested in hearing your take on it:
1. First, my friends and I in the Charlie groups have been truly saddened by the number of episodes that Charlie has been completely absent from in Season Two. We're hoping that will change in season three and if we can dream, he migt even go back to having two flashbacks? Will Charlie get more attention next season than he did this year? He's still a fan favourite you know.
2. Second, I'm concerned in general about the number of storylines that start and then seemed to be dropped with no resolution, while new storylines keep being added. Case in point: Charlie of course. It started pretty strong. After being neglected for the first half of the season he comes out in January/February and does some pretty freaky things--steals Aaron, has visions, attacks Sun, likely stashes guns and/or drugs. Cool, right? Yet no one has yet figured out his involvement in the con or has even brought up the fact that he had a gun on him and where it came from.
Now instead of dealing with these plotlines, he's suddenly building a church with Eko and I understand it will lead into some new story arc for the finale. But what about all these great things that got started? Will Jin find out Charlie attacked Sun? Will anyone figure out he stashed guns? Did he stash drugs? Is he still out to get Locke or has he forgotten about that too? Will any of these issues be resolved or simply forgotten? This is the problem with Charlie being absent so much--it leaves no time to tell his story.
