I'm not going to ask you to verify any spoiler out there, I know you can't do that. But I am going to mention some of it...

In the beginning I really thought that LOST was a story about a group of people who get put into a precarious situation when they're plane crashes. The story was the people themselves, what relationships they formed, the society they slowly start to build. On the fringes on their story there were outside factors like a mysterious group of "Others" who seem to be dangerous and a "monster" that lives in the jungle. How our heroes react to this while surviving on a deserted island was what I thought the main jist of the story. And it was awesome. Season 1 ruled..never saw anything like that on TV before.

Now there are rumors/spoilers of Widmores and Degroots, doors that lead off the island, electro-magnetism something or others, hatches all over the place...etc. Basically your fanboy's sci-fi dream come true. Now, I love Sci-fi but I hope the producers realize that it appeals to a very small audience and the reason LOST was so insanely popular is that it only gave us hints of Sci-fi, while keeping the more "human struggle" story at the forefront.

Going down this hardcore road (if the spoilers are to be believed) narrows the LOST audience tremendously. There's a reason why Scifi shows don't do well. Not because they're not brilliant, but because it only appeals to a niche audience.

Please don't do this to Lost. I'm not trying to tell anyone how to do their jobs or tell their story. I hope most of these rumors are just that and Lost isn't about to go off on some strange scifi tangent that will knock it right off the top ten show list.

Keep the stories about the characters we love and their struggles to survive with a dash of strangeness.

I say this because want the show to last.

Regards.
