Great episode!

Two question:

a) May you say to us who have the idea for the name of the different hatches?
Is there a connection with their purpose / symbol?
b) I think you are developping the episodes on two different line: some episodes (like "?" or "SOS") are about faith and one can understand them only if he accept what u describe (a question of faith); other episodes are about reason and u can understand the link between events with the use of speculation and reason himself...
Am i agree? I think that we'll find an explanation for their presence on the island that is a part of a plan, something reasonable... and an other explanation that we can understand only with use of faith...
So u replicate in the audience of this second season the same problem in the title of episode 2x01: man of faith, man of science...
what do u think about?

P.S. I have a strange idea about the Pearl: the real psycological test is the Pearl, not the Swan. People in the Pearl are thinking that they are going to make something of useful observing people... is the same thing that Candle explain in the video about the Swan: why can't we apply this to the Swan?

Thanks a lot for ur job...
See u in an other life...

The names and symbols of the stations came out of the early story meetings for the second season.

Your other theories are very intriguing and I'm sure it provides much to debate with your friends and other fans. You should continuing watching because some of these questions will be answered in the next couple of episodes.

I saw the abc preview for the season finale. There is a mountain of "pearl notes" in a scene with Jack and Michael. Is it right? And so the "pearl notes" are meaningless... OMG!
May I ask another question? When is born the idea of Dharma and Widmore? It's something that Carlton and Cuse have in mind in the first season or is something new?
And then: how much the audience and the reaction of the viewers play on the story of Lost?

Hmmm... All very interesting questions that I can't answer right now. But Damon and Carlton had the idea of Dharma and Widmore in the first season and knew they had to play it out to make it work. Which worked out well, didn't it? The second season opened up a whole new world on the island (or buried under the island really) that the survivors didn't know were there.
