There's quite a discussion going on in the spoilers forum regarding something Damon said on the latest podcast. In response to the question of whether it was a cigarette or marijuana that was shown on the table of the pearl station when Locke and Eko first entered, Damon said it was a "cigarette, still burning."

No one saw any smoke coming from that cigarette. If it really was "still burning," then that would have many implications.

Care to "shed some light" on the matter?
