What's David Greenwalt up to?* I found out that he worked on 'Miracles' and 'Jake 2.0' only *after* the shows got cancelled.*

I haven't heard anything about him since.

Has he been abducted and whisked away to some alien planet? Please say it ain't so.

I read somewhere that Jack got killed in the original version of the pilot's script.* Anyone want to tell me which scene?* I'm guessing he bit the bullet when he went back to save Charlie from the Great Unseen Beastie.* (The scene where Kate gets separated and counts to five.)

What happened to the unsung third creator of "Lost"?* Did he opt out of the series or did ABC kick him to the curb for some reason.* (I think the man's name is Jeffrey Lieber.)

All you people that are worried Jack and Kate won't get together can now rest easy.* I guarantee they will do the nasty -- because Lorne told them too, but mystically.* (Or maybe I'm getting my shows crossed.)

hi furyF -

i spent a year working with greenwalt on jake 2.0 before being swept up into the lost maelstrom and can tell you he is alive and well.* my understanding is he wanted to take some time away from the grind of running shows to develop his own pilots and features - being as he is a total and complete god amongst men, i am sure you will be hearing many great things from him in the near future.

in the original script, jack was killed halfway though - the role of monster bait was switched in the final script to the pilot.

later -

Thanks for answering my post, Javi.

I hope David Greenwalt will be successful with his own series or a feature film, but I also hope he considers writing and directing a few episodes of existing series from time to time.

Nothing against the shows Greenwalt did after "Buffy", but I think it would have been cool if he'd returned to "Buffy" after leaving "Angel."* He's got a nice touch as a writer/director.

I realize now that I *did* know about Greenwalt's "Jake 2.0" affiliation at least one week before the show went off the air.* I think that I just never watched a whole episode because it was up against another show that I watched religiously, probably "Angel".*

Which is probably why the new writers gave Jack a background as a student pilot, right?

By the way, would you mind writing Grillo-Marxuach phonetically for me?* Is the double L pronounced like an English Y and the X pronounced like an English H?*

I'm glad you tried the threaded board.* The unthreaded board is harder to read, because it's kinda backwards -- newest messages first; it's harder to follow what's going on.
