Hello Gregg...

I just had a question to ask you regarding the Dharma logo we saw on the sharks tail in the episode Adrift. It caused quite a stir here in the UK and was discussed on radio shows, on the official blog and in the papers, etc.

But over the last few days I keep hearing and reading...

"That Dharma logo was a joke, TPTB said that the CG team put it in without permission and it was even edited out of the repeats"

Is this true? I've never seen a direct quote from any of you about this, just that TPTB said it was a joke...

It seems too crazy to be true, the logo was there when I watched the episode here in the UK and it's been in every screencap I've seen. In fact I've never seen the episode where it was edited out, nor have I ever seen a screencap without the logo or spoken to anyone that saw the episode without it.

Can you clear this one up for us Gregg?

If it's not true then it's become one of those rumours that gets repeated over and over and is now being taken as fact, I personally think a Dharma Shark has big implications for the plot, some of those Polar Bears (and whatever or whoever they eat) must still be out there too, the zoological station would kick ***, pardon my French...

It sounds like a juicy rumor, but it's not true. It wasn't a joke, and the CG people did not put it there without permission. (Can you imagine if they did? Someone would've been fired.) It was done specifically on request from Damon and Carlton.
