When a writer sits down and writes an eppi......how much of the eppi is determined by JJ or Damon?

I mean is it just "get these characters to HERE by the end" or do you have a list of several differnt things that have to take place in your ep?

For example, the Sun & Jin eppi.....was it "Javi, write Sun and Jin's origin and split the camp"

Or was it "Okay, here's teh origin...here's what's gonna happen....here's what happens w/ the camp....put words in their mouths"

Thanks!

Just curious :-)

speaker, quit hogging the threaded board!!!

Just kidding...

All of us figure out the stories we want to tell -- Damon being the most definitive in his suggestions as it's his vision, but he's extremely open to others' takes. JJ comes in mostly to hear the stories and weigh in on what appeals to him, or how to fix bumps in the structure (he's far to busy overseeing ALIAS, MI-3 and running other parts of the world). As far as the specifics in the script... Those are up to the individual writers who put their own stamps on the scripts.

The short answer is... it's a collaborative process, with all the freedom one would expect with a show like this.

J/k

Gotcha...that makes sense...i guess I was wondering like in your episode, Walkabout.....

Was Locke's character and "condition" spelled out in the show bible or did you decide who you wanted Locke to be?

I know it's different per show.....but....heck, I don't even know what I'm asking anymore..please excuse my insanity lol
