I was just wondering, for instance, why Maggie Grace was billed as a full-on cast member when she only appeared in, like, seven episodes this year, whereas Michael Emerson wasn't and he appeared in more, and with more screen time in each. I think it has to do with the contract. Maggie Grace started as a series regular carried over from the first season, which is why she received the credit she did. Michael Emerson started off as a recurring guest star, and that's why he is credited as he is. If either of them were to come back for the third season, it would be different because they would have to negotiate a new contract and credit.
