this is my first post in your forum but i'm a regular reader of your replies. you provide a great service to the members of thefuselage and you really don't need to, so thankyou very much for your time.
the finale was incredible and it hasn't really all settled in my brain yet so it's hard for me to assess it in any way that would be understandable to others. but i do have one theory from watching the finale that i thought i'd share. i'm pretty sure we've now been told how Locke's legs were healed and Rose's cancer was cured.
it was the magnetism that brought down the plane!
Isaac of Uluru told Rose that there are places in the world that have healing energy, and this energy can be focused and used to cure people of their ailments. the place in australia just wasn't the right place for Rose. interestingly enough, he also mentioned how this healing energy may be magnetic.
so we already knew that Locke regained the use of his legs some time between being seated on the plane and the moment he woke up on the beach, post-crash. the timing all works out. he was exposed (just like everybody else on flight 815) to a heavy dose of this magnetic energy. maybe the island is the "right place" for rose, and for locke, and possibly for Jin's reproductive organs.
anyway, just wanted to share my idea. at worst i'm wrong and you'll get a chuckle out of it.
thanks for reading, gregg!
