First off, lemme say I really enjoy the show. But in recent weeks, I'm baffled, stumped, and bewildered, by the meandering pace, and illogical actions of the characters. When Claire got kidnapped, sure, everyone got concerned...but then it seems like everyone just let it go!! I mean, these people have nothing but time! You'd think they would, at the very least, organize and search for her. When Sayid got back from the French woman, and told of finding her, hearing the mysterious voices, etc...everyone just let it go! Wouldn't ANYONE be just curious enough to go check it out??? SHOULDN'T someone be curious??? (I mean, if Mary Ann got kidnapped by headhunters, Gilligan would not REST until she was safe. A silly example, to be sure, but at least an honest reaction. When pregnant Claire got kidnapped, Sawyer and what's her name actually went off for a hike and went swimming!!!!)
I like the backstories, and enjoy these insights into the characters...but surely what is happenning to them in the present SHOULD be as interesting as what has happenned in the past! And the sad fact is that it isn't!
A friend at work told me something that should give the producer's of LOST concern. He said that he and his wife don't mind missing an episode or two, because nothing really happens......You guys really should consider picking up the pace.
